Frank joins Vanda to catch up on all the NFL Happenings AND he judges TIGHT or BITE on teams’ coaching decisions. For Halftime Vanda and Frank discuss The Last Jedi and for the 2nd Half the pair make their playoff picks. Lots to weigh in on here so feel free to let the comments fly!

The episode title is NOT a Garfield reference but a Boomtown Rats reference. Vanda will have this song in her head for a long time…

Puppies for everyone! Interestingly they also invent a future weekend activity…FFLARPing. You heard it here first. Join Kyle and Vanda in setting some special resolutions for 2018!

The title is Rants AND Raves but there were just a lot of rants from Vanda. And can we please eliminate the term “allegedly”?!?

Ep. 46 – The Eagles Are Landed

Vanda is joined by Monique from America! She is from Louisiana and loves football! (Duh) They chat Hot Topics and college football. For the halftime show they play The Newlywed/Oldywed Game! Listen just to hear her hubby’s buttery bourbon-soaked accent.

The episode title is for my NFL playoffs pick, the Philadelphia Eagles. Now with Carson Wentz hurt they probably won’t make it. Boo. What is the movie The Eagle Has Landed actually about? Is it a war or spy movie? Whatever, I can use references I don’t understand.

The Newlywed/Oldywed Game questions:
Questions for the husbands:
1) What was your wife wearing on your first date with her?
2) Who will your wife say is the more romantic one in your relationship?
3) If one of your relatives was going to stay with you, which one would your wife hope it would be?
4) How long does it take your wife to get ready for a night out?

Answers that your husband needs to provide to our questions
1) When you cook for your wife, would your wife say the food is spot on, or would she sign you up for cooking school?
2) What would your wife say to fill in the blank, “I wish my husband would pay as much attention to me as he does his _______________.
3) Which of you is the thrifty shopper? You or your wife?
4) What is one thing you don’t have in your house but your wife wishes you did?

Ep. 44 – Nerds Talk About Jocks

This week Dan from Northern Nerdcast joins Vanda to talk about Gronk and Eli Manning! (Boo hoo, Eli.) They also review the Grey Cup, or Snow Bowl, as it has been renamed…by me, anyway. Then they have to go back to their geek roots to give you their geek favourites. Linky links below!

The title is a bit of a throwback to Vanda’s high school days. You might be able to guess that Vanda did not sit at the jock table in the cafeteria. All the Jennifer’s got picked first in Phys Ed. Seriously there were, like, 8 Jennifers. But there is only one Vanda!

The Playbook:
Gronk can’t talk about it.

Dan’s pick for geek board games – Spy Fall and Codenames
